SOmebody posted this on the "post your funnies" thread. If anybody hasn't seen it, be sure to take the time. It is awesome!
I posted this in its own thread a few days back. Not sure what the connection to Tahoe would be here?

And the Fingers!!! Oh my Dog!

In a strange way, I can appreciate this one-in forever (hopefully) opportunity to see things as they look without the impact of daily hammering. You do have to squint a bit to blur out the chairs, lodges, etc., but the pristine beauty is undeniable.

I can't disagree more. Empty and untracked Squaw is just wrong. Like a classic car that never gets out of the garage, a Da Vinci that is locked away in a warehouse, a gourmet dinner that never gets eaten, or any resource that is ignored, seeing Squaw dead is horrible. I feel good when people are having fun. Wasting all the snow and terrain is NOT beautiful - just terribly sad.

I had to take care of some things this morning and decided to stop by Squaw for the first time since the ski area shut down. When all the ski areas where closing I was actually in Jackson Hole, booted up, ready to go when they announced Jackson was shutting down for the season. Overall, I’ve been staying fairly positive throughout all of this, but seeing Squaw this morning and knowing what spring skiing would have been like, definitely brought some sadness to my soul.

Still can't believe there's no tracks in any of those photos. I would have bet someone by now would have tried to skin up and ski down, even just a few hundred yards, evading whoever needed evading.

The refusal to do so is a testament to rule-following, socialization, and ethical self-preservation .... so yay for that ... I guess.

Let Mt. Rose bring you back to reality. Yes, there is a lift house in the photo on the left, ticket booth on the right. Slide side

Virgin snow doesn't last long at Rose. This is the main lodge side, Wizard lift. I wish they'd pan the cameras out so we could see more!

Wow... why so many tracks at Rose and so few at Squaw? Is Rose open for skinning and not Squaw?
