Never been there, so I guess it's just the general resemblance it has to most any other midwestern ski hill. When/if you come up to MN, give me a yell, if it works out I'll take some turns with you.

Mt. Kato is where I seem to spend the most time (worked there as a lift op when I was younger), but the MSP-area hills are about equidistant.

I was not aware of that, thanks for sharing! Seems like a marketing opportunity that Mt. Kato is missing out on. They ought to have some posters of the hometown athlete splashed around the chalet.
