Moved stuff around again. Stickers for Danforth and MURF signed Alva arrived. Vintage skate geeks think those may be Gullwing hangers on Indy base plates. We haven't seen anything that matches the hangers exactly, but definitely have a Gullwing look to them..

Vision Vex Cave.. Circa 1988 right when ollies started catching on. This one was missing the tail guard.. kids took them off when starting to ollie everything.. Someone sprayed the trucks red... while still bolted to the deck.. pretty much a big mess. I cleaned it up some and got a new Vision tail guard. Skated this BEAST today... Handles like an aircraft carrier. Solid and stable but a bit challenging to swing around the tight mini ramp. Did OK though, pretty fun!

This deck actually still has the original price sticker under the front trucks.. Tagged at $35 at a skate shop in Washington state back in 1986ish..

So I started skateboarding in a bad snow year approx 1976 in Boulder CO. Then I re-started again with some slalom skateboard racing in 2003 or so.

Here's my slalom setup: Axe slalom board, Bennet front trucks, Avalon wheels

I just pulled the trigger on a Henry Hester FibreFlex slalom deck. It's in rough looking shape but structurally sound. Also grabbed a Teamrider in similar condition since one came up and I didn't have one. Next projects.

I had a couple of G&S Fiberflex boards and boy were they fun..especially the Slalom board (there wasn't a Giant Slalom as far as I can remember). I used that board like they use long boards now, for transportation and was that board fast.

Seen a green one up on eBay every so often. Last time it was mint ant they only wanted $150 shipped. Didn't have the cast on hand at the time.. Read somewhere that they actually sold them at Montgomery Wards back in the 70s.
