See any moose by Green Pond yet?
I’m glad someone takes the time to stop and take pics. I just go go go!
No moose but I will say it is getting dusty at North Fork.

That’s what happens with Strava, no time to enjoy the world around us ;).

Strava is the worst and yet I am volunteering to be on the end of the whip every ride.

Talk about triggering reptilian brain reward systems. No medals? Did it even happen?:roflmao:

@firebanex Are you patrolling at Moose Mountain? Do you know Roger Evans?
Yes and Yes. I'm actually the patrol director at Moose, been skiing there since before it opened in '92. (Ok I was 5.. but it counts, I remember crying the entire way down) and patrolling there since about 2003. I suppose you could say I know Roger pretty well.

Had another proper night ride on Tuesday night, god it's so fun to ride in the dark. Been super impressed running Outbound Lightings Hangover light on my bars and helmet for shorter rides like this, the light coverage is fantastic.

Yes and Yes.
Tell him Jim from Snowbasin says hi.
I don’t know him too well, just met him skiing a few times but seems like a fun dude.
Do you guys use the bus for MTB?

Strava, sometimes. Usually more like mom duties call and I'm squeezing rides in.
I get it. I ride with my niece alot during the summer & mom duties are always a motivator, unless we just bring the kids along.

Took the pup for a quick night ride, he does so well listening now. We've had a weather alert this week.. for abnormally warm temperatures. It's been close to 60* during the day, normally we are below freezing or just barely above this time of year. I'm not complaining as it makes for finishing up all the outdoor things before winter just a little bit easier.

I wish, we don't have any trails on the ski area that I'm aware of.

Got the 160mm air spring installed in my Fox 36, increasing from 150. It’s a big difference. The bike is now 160/160.

The Stumpjumper Evo is so low across the front end bringing the front up a bit was immediately more comfortable for pedaling and more natural downhill.

160 feels a lot more natural for the Fox 36 than 150, it’s easier to dial in some plushness and I was faster on the few tech downhill rips, at least Strava thinks so.

I used a lot of travel without doing anything but going faster, so pretty easy to see that 150 wasn’t enough. It’s probably begging for 170. Pretty sweet set of simple upgrades to bring the Evo more fully into its potential. Head angle with flip chip in high should now be 63.5°.

Also got the rainbow XX1 chain installed. That’s an upgrade on a GX groupset that is seriously worth it, the high end chain technology is just so much better and it’s not much money.

I'm glad all ( most? ) of you are getting to ride. I played hooky from work today with the intent of doing a most of the morning ride. It was just too smokey to go do what I wanted to do. Spent most of my day indoors playing with other things, but dang, I really wanted to ride....

@4ster - what's keeping the little one on the bike?

Looks like my mtb season is slowly ending, so one of last, and therefore not too dry, not too warm (only +14c, which is under my mtb limits :D), but not too bad either rides up and down some cool trails in forest behind house. Good hour and half, which ended in almost 50km and almost 1000m of ascend with no real climbing involved, but therefore most of time in red zone on my HRM :D Not sure if I should wash bike or should I wait for next time :D
