Honoring the request.

Sadie, sometime last year when there was actually some snow around here.

After playing outside, it’s time to rest.

Then some bliss-nibbling on the soft toy she disemboweled of its fluff, perched on the king bed she’s taken as her own in the guest room.

Cooper update: The vaccine manufacturer reimbursed me for all the testing and treatment related to Lepto (we do believe he had Lepto - I suspect that the other medical issues we later discovered helped make him susceptible). It's more than I would ever have asked, given that vaccines aren't perfect, but I'll certainly take it - it's a big help.

Glad that industry showed you its soft side, @Monique, though I regret the way it came about.

Only direct experience I had with a manufacturer of veterinary meds was for heartworm prevention meds. My dog would be lethargic for a couple of days after taking the pill. My vet looked it up and then called the manufacturer. Manufacturer called me and said to try 1/2 pill for 2 consecutive days. If she was lethargic, give them a call. The 1/2 pill routine worked fine.

I was impressed that they cared enough to get down to the level of an individual customer and dog.

Jack has been acting strange lately. One night he woke up with a cry. But it was only once... so?

Mainly, at 14, he sleeps. He was looking very Christmas-y last night.

Nightmare? Chasing bunnies? My dogs have definitely woofed in their sleep on occasion.

I think it was more health related. He did a whimper/cry and was laying limply over the side of his bed. Then he didn't want to move for a while. Once I picked him up to take him outside, he shook himself out, and proceeded to do his business. He's eating and drinking fine, no more cries, but it was very unsettling and emotional.

I understand. I'm sorry. Fingers crossed it's transient and not serious.
