It was an almost tailless ski intended for beginners called ... (drum roll please) ... Scorpion!

I remember those - I posted a pic on epicski. I'll have to post that pic.

...just looked, can't easily find it.

I remember the Scorpions. "The amazing 3rd edge " iirc, you were supposed to lean back onto the square, edged tail for extra control.

I have no knowledge of anyone named Debbie Boone

You know, she sang that sappy "You light up my life" song back in the late 70s".

If it isn't Little Nell (before the renovation) I give up.

What year was the renovation? My time frame was the late 1970's. Did you see the hint that it went by two names?

In the late 1970's what was the name of the hotel that was at the foot of Ajax's Little Nell lift?

Because no one got this, the answer is The Woodstone - Glory Hole.

Some unanswered questions of mine:

- In what state is Spirit Mountain Ski Area?

- Which Wyoming ski area had its base lodge burn down shortly after it was built?

- Name four ski areas in South Dakota

- In which state is Giants Ridge Ski Area located?

- Name the long-time Scandinavian ski school director (now deceased) of Alta, Utah).

- Name 4 Northern Hemisphere ski areas offering lift-served summer skiing. Janeski named TIMBERLINE which is one answer.

- Name the Midwest ski area with a gondola.

- What long gone skiing periodical was sometimes known as "Slow Country"?

- In which Olympics (county/resort) did Tommy Moe win his medal?

- What brand of snow groomers are used at Wolf Creek, Colorado?

- In which state is Folsom Custom Skis located?

- What sporting goods store started the "sniagrab" sale GART BROTHERS, when was it held, and what prominent magazine had a photo of skiers camping out in front of the store? And said store was known as what?
Spirit Mt.---> Minnesota Red Lodge, MT for lift served summer skiing, may be a different name now. Terry Peak is the only SD ski area I knew of. I've never been to any of these three.
