March 6, Alpine Meadows. Our father area. Sketchy snow, dust on crust, quite the adventure. I certainly took my time to make sure I would come down on one piece Last run of the season. Lots of fun, right before the epic storm series we never got to enjoy.

May 31st was the last day of the winter season at Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood in Oregon. Here's a pic from my camera of the soon-to-be-open Palmer lift that runs for summer skiing. I don't ski in the summer, so May 31st is my last day this season.

My son (red) and I (both on the right) with some of his U8 race club buddies. About an hour after this photo the hill announced it was closing that evening. We were supposed to having a U10 training camp that weekend, but that came to a quick end and we all had to drive 4 hours back home again!

She was just showing off those sweet looking gauntlets. Many Aspen cougars can be seen wearing them. She does look a bit intense in the photo, but I was following the rules. She is smiling in the other picture I took of her. She was part of the Freeskier Magazine testing team and they were all wearing costumes. So remember the next time you read one of their reviews, the tester was probably wearing a shark costume while skiing. The second to last photo of the year looked like this....

The regular season-

March 14. Great sunny day. We were wondering how we were going to make it very far into April as it seemed the snow was going fast. We didn’t make it to the next day!

Post Season-

May 17th

The last. Trying to clean the shell in running water. But that’s boring, so context-

A rough post season. Walking up is bad enough. Then there’s walking down over the patches. Should’ve made the weekend before. Can’t say I could’ve made another series.

Depends what “from this season is”. If it includes travel days, then the last photo of the season on my phone is this one, taken by my daughter the morning of March 14, our departure from Telluride, which shutdown the following day.

If it must be a photo I took, then it’s this one.

On the other hand, if it must be the last skiing day of the season, then the last photo on my phone is this, also taken by my daughter, and screenshotted from her instagram post, the day before our departure.

If it has to be the last photo I took on a ski day, then it’s this one,

Saw it at a ski shop where I was getting some bootfitting done. Though it’s a women’s boot, I love the color. If I can find one, I would want to match this colored boot with a winter-camo jacket, pants and helmet outfit.

So which is it, last photo regardless of who took it? Are travel days part of the season?
