Cover Me: Best cover songs, some better than the original?

Frank Sinatras cover (more than a cover as the translation is actually completely original and really what elevates it from the original).


The original by Claude Francois. Aparently he bumped into Frank S back stage at a show once, but was too awed and a little intimidated so he never said who he was.

She certainly has. One of the greatest rock singers. So much to like about this version. Mentioned the guitar solo but the choir is amazing as well as is the drums... Very high class. Play it loud.

Not sure if anything can be better than Zep but it is certainly a moving rendition. Heart has always been one of the few that can actually get away with covering the mighty Led Zeppelin!

On the other hand Zeppelin does an awful lot of great covers & often make them their own...
