In the northeast we have to book the kids' vacation weeks in advance, but besides that we're going to do late bookings so we can choose the best conditions between Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. A trip to CA UT or CO is possible but that would add a few thousand to our ski budget, althoug we are saving money wilth Ikon and a last minute 4 day weekend could be done on the cheap so long OPEC doesn't spoil our fun.

Figured I would post this before the Ikon price increase. I created a visual of most of big ski passes plus many Colorado single mountain season passes.

Hope it helps some people. Personally I will probably pick up the Ikon Base this week before the price increase. But even outside of the big passes it is surprising how many places have bonus days at other resorts.

^^^ Which begs the question: What's in a name?

The important names are the resort names and the important number is not necessarily the price but the number of included days.

I think Shakespeare said it best: "A pass by any other name still skis sweet."
