I am a bit surprised we have 7 pages, about 120 replies
to a poll that only had a total of 44 votes. I guess we really can't wait for the season to get going.

Sure - the whole thing together is, once the chocolate is added. But before that "something" gets covered in chocolate, it may not be candy.

I wouldn't consider either of those to be "chocolate covered" in the definition of that term for this thread.

No? I must have missed that definition. Was it a chocolate content by weight % ? Was it a continuous external coating?

...and there were three things - notice that the last of those has more protein per fat than most Western cheeses, and that the carbs are mostly slow-solubility modified starches, aka 'dietary fiber'.

In my definition of candy, i.e. something bite-sized that has more simple carbohydrate by wt% than fat, and less than 13% protein per calorie*, none of those are candy.

For context, 13% protein per calorie without fats is... straight up densified oatmeal.
