Do you have an extra $15,000 to drop on an e-bike?
Porsche has just what you may be looking for.

Snip from article:
Porsche manufactures some of the nicest cars on the planet, so it's no surprise its e-bikes are also high-end pieces of machinery. Still, the price tag on the company's new electric mountain bike models is nothing to sneeze at.

The company recently revealed its latest e-bike models. The Porsche eBike Cross Performance retails for $14,250, while the Porsche eBike Cross Performance EXC comes in at an even pricier $15,350. Although the standard Cross Performance has already been on the market for two years, the new release represents a significant upgrade.

Before the "See, eMTB's are over priced", every major bike company has analog bikes also in this price range. As long as people will spend the money, product will be built and on the market. Now, it would be real cool if you could special order one in the color that matches your Porsche.

And @Erik Timmerman could put a bike rack on his, which would have given him alternate transportation when his car broke down on Rt 66. :duck:

Might be worth it if can stand upright like that without a visible kickstand. You could make the money back in bets.

I assume since it is Porsche that is the base price and to get to a useable spec you need to add another 40% worth of extras ………

The EXC is only $1,100 more than the base model. Imagine being the only person in your Porsche mtb group with the cheapo bike as if $1,100 is a big deal at that point.

It could totally be a flex - "I'm so good/lightweight/strong that I don't need all that extra battery/motor boost"

The important thing is you wouldn't actually be riding. Just standing around having coffee talking about how fast you COULD be riding...

Mark the calendar for 2043. Go find one of those Porsche e-bikes.
