That would be awesome and ridiculous in so many ways. Maybe a mid-station at Whitegrass?Base to base gondola !!!!!
I am thinking in terms of how skiers use the resort. At Killington, you either ski Killington or Pico in a day but rarely both. By contrast, many skiers ski Silver Creek, the Ball Hooter slopes, and the Western Territory all in a day. A lot would depend on whether or not PNS would have a shuttle and how frequently the shuttle will run. I reckon it would be a about a 15 minute shuttle ride (10 mins by car). A connector gondola is highly unlikely given the status of the land between the two resorts (National Wildlife Refuge, and Forrest Service).Where the Pico model would mean CV stays a separate resort that shares a ticket, and the Silver Creek model means CV actually becomes part of TLM?
Maybe a mid-station at Whitegrass?
Chip would never allow it.That would be awesome and ridiculous in so many ways. Maybe a mid-station at Whitegrass?
I think it would be the longest lift in North America.
Well when the Perfects buy White Grass too, it will be allowed. I mean, as long as we're fantasizing.Chip would never allow it.
White Grass isn't owned by Chip remember, he's a tenant.
That's ambitious! A 3+ mile gondola is a large undertaking for small ski areas. I'd love to see those plans if you can find them.If i can dig it up, the gondola was in the original plans for the Valley.
And if the pump storage lakes would’ve gotten built in the 50s or 60s and flooded the northern end of the valley we could’ve been the Lake Tahoe of the east.If i can dig it up, the gondola was in the original plans for the Valley. Way before Doc, David Downes plans.

Nice contrast you showed in this post!
thank god that didn't happenAnd if the pump storage lakes would’ve gotten built in the 50s or 60s and flooded the northern end of the valley we could’ve been the Lake Tahoe of the east.
I saw that! Presumably 25% off the walk-up rate. Anyone know what the walk-up rate is these days for the weekend? For you TLM season pass holders who feel their season was cut short, it looks like Snowshoe is offering 25% lift tickets if you show them your season pass to a closed ski area.
