orient = orientation = orientate
explain = explanation = explainate?
exclaim = exclamation = exclaimate?

Orient is a football club http://www.leytonorient.com or simply the term for the East of the globe. Orientate is to turn to face the east.

Churches were orientated so the nave ran west to east to the altar, presumably so early morning sun would show the majesty of god through stained glass above the altar etc
