At Liberty our mogul posse skis in nice lines on Upper Strata (steep with exciting pitchover halfway thru, 25 turns), Upper Eastwind (steep, 40 turns), Lower Eastwind (moderate, 80 turns). We also love putting a line on Lower Ultra (moderate, 50-60 turns) but didn’t have enough snow this year for that. Once in a while we do Upper Ultra (very steep, 50 turns).
We picked Lib among the DC area hills cause it’s 15 mins shorter drive from DC area — that convenience adds up over the season
— and has more reliable coverage on the bump trails. Exhibition at Whitetail is really fun when there’s enough snow but it’s less reliable so we have focused the posse mostly at Lib.Bunch of folks in da posse who’ve done a bunch of Whistler camps (Mogul Logic, ID One, PSI, Momentum) and happy to share technique, we do a fair amount of drills & turn practice on flats to help with turn fundamentals, absorption etc. It’s a fun informal hangout, cmon & hang any time if fun, we’re around
