I had an opportunity to test these vario goggles (the lens darkens in sunlight and allows more light in dim conditions). The lens is a grey color and I was surprised at how well it worked. The lens changes quickly from dark to light and vise versa. I feel that I need a lighter lens than most and this lens worked well for me. I've been partial to the amber lenses trying several other brands that always seem to fog up. So far there is no fogging in these lenses. I'm excited to ski in them again.
