Sun Peaks Resort B.C. opened 3 of 4 chairlifts on Mount Tod a day earlier than originally planned and all upper mountain runs were open making it one of the best openings in years. After hitting something on the rock band on the Chute that knocked my ski off I ended up wallowing around in baseless snow about 40" deep.
Sundance Ridge is scheduled to open on Saturday and likely Mount Morrisey on Sunday.

The ungroomed runs were ankle deep to boot top and a bit wind blown in some places but quite skiable.
