Snowboarding in 80 degree temp!

I just got back from the NASTAR Nationals in Snowmass and figured my season was over. There was enough snow at Okemo to get in one more day.

I'm surprised the snow doesn't look softer, or tracks deeper than they are. This heat is insane.

Burlington, VT hit degrees today. In the 134 years that records have been kept for this date, the temperature has never been this warm.

Skied that trail Fri, Sun, and today. A lot was lost with those 80 deg temps. Even between Fri and Sunday. Today was very foggy, rainy and cool. The ice is coming through. And rocks. But it’s still skiable.

Probably not if you're 76 though ..... one little snicker doodle and you've got powder for bones.
I mean, I push it as hard as I can at 72 but once there's pigment coming through the remaining turns number in less than 5.

Up on the mountain at Snowmass last week the conditions were as good as I've ever experienced. On my last run down toward the village the snow was getting discolored. For the second video I mounted a GoPro MAX 360 to a selfie stick and got some footage.
