Not classic rock...composer Ennio Morricone died today from complications from a fall at age 91. He's an absolute giant in the world of film scores. He was most famous for his crazy, haunting, beautiful music from spaghetti westerns including Sergio Leone's Dollars Trilogy with Clint Eastwood. But he did something like 400 film scores. Here are excerpts from a few of my favorite Morricone compositions.
Once Upon A Time in the West (Man with the Harmonica)

Cinema Paradiso

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (Ecstasy of Gold)

Once Upon a Time in American

Two Mules for Sister Sara

There are so many more, choosing just five is a pity. When I'm not listening to rock, this is some of my favorite other music. Thanks Ennio!

Dude. I love the Danish National Symphony Orchestra! I own at least two versions of the soundtrack to Blade Runner. But watching and listening to their version is probably my favorite. Thank you for posting.
