Silver opens tomorrow sort of. The official announcement,
Opening day for the 21/22 winter season is this Friday, November 26. We will only be operating the gondola and the new covered carpet. The beginner run, tubing hill, and scenic gondola rides will be available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
I will wait.

Not a very good first day at Sun Valley:

Got half a mile from home, realized I forgot my skis, so turned around.

Stopped at McDonalds for a Biscuit, they were closed.

Waited too long for the parking lot shuttled, so walked.

Zipper on parka broke, at first it would hold the two halves together not properly zipped, but then wouldn't even do that.

The long chair to the top stopped three times, run backward a little ways once or twice.

The one top-to-bottom WROD was too busy for my taste.

Bailed after one run. I always say that things don't start to get tolerable until the week after Thanksgiving anyway. I guess it beats the time I went to Utah in November and only got one run at Snowbird my first day, on a paid ticket.

snowing and windy.
