@Mothertucker , cool! where are you located again?

@pais alto , that is a really pretty picture! Looks like it's heading out for an overnight? Is that this season(20/21)?

I think it would be nice to start a new thread for the new season, Makes it a little easier to read/follow/load.

Thanks. Yes, an overnighter. An attempt on the Grand. No, not this year, a few years ago.

I’m fine with one thread for skinning stoke.

Yes, Voile release pin setup for me. The skis, IIRC, are Dynastar Vertical Extremes. I still have them, but with alpine bindings.

Steve is on Silvrettas. It's an Ortovox F1 Focus transceiver.

My first setup was with Silvretta 505's, the toe bale was not very reliable. Originally I skied them with Koflach Ultra boots which were rigid soled crampon boots NOT ski boots. Once I pulled up to the bottom of a steep narrow couloir & one just kinda fell off.

After that I switched to tele's & skied that set-up in the 80's & 90's till it was so antiquated that I had to upgrade.
Atomic OT's (they had metal edges), Chouinard cables (a state of the art step up from mere 3 pins & they did not fall off) & Asolo extreme boot. Lightest kit ever ;)
