Thanks. Yes, an overnighter. An attempt on the Grand. No, not this year, a few years ago.

looks like you are on tele’s but are those Silvretta bindings on the others?
& an old Pieps transcier?

Yes, Voile release pin setup for me. The skis, IIRC, are Dynastar Vertical Extremes. I still have them, but with alpine bindings.

My first setup was with Silvretta 505's, the toe bale was not very reliable. Originally I skied them with Koflach Ultra boots which were rigid soled crampon boots NOT ski boots. Once I pulled up to the bottom of a steep narrow couloir & one just kinda fell off.

After that I switched to tele's & skied that set-up in the 80's & 90's till it was so antiquated that I had to upgrade.
Atomic OT's (they had metal edges), Chouinard cables (a state of the art step up from mere 3 pins & they did not fall off) & Asolo extreme boot. Lightest kit ever
