Some national days are silly, and we have too many, so why not one more?!

"National NOAA Got It Wrong Again Big Time Day"

Currently 65 degrees with massive t-storms. Forecast? Sunny and 82 degrees.

It is National Lazy Day so it is alright to be Lazy today. It is sponsored by the furniture company that makes Lazy Boy furniture.

I don't know... S'mores seem like kind of a lot of effort.

OMG I can't stand it.. Apparently some recent day was "National Daughter's Day" on social media?? My dad legit called me to say he was sorry we didn't get to do something together for it.. I was like, THIS ISN'T AN ACTUAL THING!?!?!!? Outside of everyone who feels the need to comply on social media I guess.:roflmao:

It's Ask a Stupid Question Day!

Some I like:

Why is the man who invests your money called a broker?
Why are you so tall?
Before they invented drawing boards, what did they go back to?
If you try to fail and you succeed, which have you done?

Yeah the daughter day thing went over the top on social channels.

To that point, perhaps George Carlin's questions apply here.

If man evolved from monkeys and apes, why do we still have monkeys and apes?
What if there were no hypothetical questions?
If a mute swears, does his mother wash his hands with soap?
Where do forest rangers go to "get away from it all?
Is there another word for synonym?
If a turtle doesn't have a shell, is he homeless or naked?
Would a fly without wings be called a walk?
Is it true that cannibals don't eat clowns because they taste funny?
If you ate pasta and antipasti, would you still be hungry?
If you try to fail, and succeed, which have you done?
Why are hemorrhoids called "hemorrhoids" instead of "assteroids"?

There are more but...

Let's see, we have a Mother's Day, Father's Day, Son's Day so what is so bad about a Daughter's Day? Are Mothers Day and Father's Day only about social media?

Honestly, I'm with MissySki on this.
I don't NEED a daughters day.
When I see these pop up on social channels, I think the title of this thread hit the nail on the head.
National Day Lunacy indeed.

Now, national bourbon day....that I could get behind.
