Northern Rockies/Alberta Lost Trail Montana

On a last minute whim, I ditched the in-laws today and met up with an old college buddy at Lost Trail in Montana (90 miles south of Missoula, right on the Idaho border).

If anybody is in the area, I can report that they have amazing coverage, soft snow, and no crowds. With the older, fixed-grip lifts, you have to put your time in, but it was the best $40 day I've had in a long time, and the place has a great, casual vibe.

Absolutely no cell coverage there, so my phone spent the day in the car, so no pics. Sorry!

Nope, not me, but the chopper was flying around off and on during the day Wednesday, and was landing in the parking lot when I left at 3:30.

Fingers crossed that this turns out well.
