Those who have been following my ramblings on here might remember that I’ve been approved for a 6-month sabbatical from work that I’m now referring to as Skibatical.
My sabbatical aka Skibattical runs from March 15 - September 15, 2024.
At the advice of several folks on here, I’m hoping to ski Japan. Through an interesting turn of events, I’ll also be able to fly standby to Tokyo for free, just need to be somewhat flexible on timing.
I’ll be traveling solo. I’m hoping to hire a guide / tour group to outsource most of the logistics and show me around the mountains. Any suggestions?
Right now I’m doing most of my research on Powderhounds, who have a lot of info on tour groups but the certification / qualifications of guides gets mixed reviews. The options for resorts and regions also seems pretty overwhelming.
