What is safe ventilation? I know @Snowfan is an expert on this. I have had this heater for a long time and this camper set up, but I have yet to run it all night while I'm sleep because I don't want to kill myself....

I suspect this is plenty ventilation here, tail gate down...

Also got carbon monoxide alarm, where should that go? I really don't want to rely on that, especially if it's made in china.

I can also retain some heat like this...This should be safe too? What should really be fine and better is putting the heater on my tailgate facing in, propane tank outside on the ground.

What about this, with tailgate up, in sliding side camper window open? I can also open front sliding glass window, where the glare is...

Been thinking about calling the manufacture (Mr. Heater) as well.

I don’t really have experience with propane heaters in a closed space, but if you’re relying on a CO alarm, I’d get two from different brands, avoid third-party sellers selling who knows what cheap rebadged products (buying from a local hardware store would be ideal), and figure out a way to test them periodically.

DO NOT buy from third-party sellers on Amazon, Walmart, eBay, etc., since so far these “marketplaces” have managed to avoid taking any responsibility for product liability.
