I'm going to pony up for a cordless Razor-Tune tuning machine.

Which two abrasive wheels are the best call?

I probably will end up using it to change edge angles sometimes. So coarse and medium?

Bonus question: can you still run the cordless version with a cord, like the corded version? Thanks

Coarse and medium.
Coarse to reset edge angles. Medium for everyday use.
I have a fine wheel. Used it maybe three times.

Picked up a medium wheel, battery and couple more 3° plate over the summer as back up. My medium wheel probably gone through few hundred tunes. Haven't shown much wear.
The angle plates can be sensitive to some solvents. Make sure to have back up.

I don't use the Razor Tune to set the initial angle. And I only do the following after a stone grind. Gotta pull back sidewall 1st. Then I use a short Panzer (cross file) to start +1 degree over my final edge angle. if I am going to end up with a 3 degree side edge. I file with a 4 degree guide. When sharp tip to tail, then I will use a 2nd cut file at 3 degrees. Then the Razor Tune comes out to finish up. This is only to initially set the edge. Polishing and maintaining........almost exclusively the Medium wheel.
