In 1980 I bent my 210cm Rossi SM GS skis and the service center in Winooski, VT wouldn't warranty them. Afterwards I was heading West for the Summer but took a girl to Detroit by way of Ontario, where I bought a case of Molson Brador beer (12% alcohol or something ridiculous like that, a college favorite).
Stopped by the Rossi service center in Clearwater, Utah and dirty and disheveled from the drive, I looked pretty hardcore. I brought my broken skis in, carrying the case of Brador in my other arm and put both on the counter. This was when all the beer in Utah was watered down piss. The Bro said wait here a minute and came back with a new pair of race stock 213 ROCs with SM topspins. They weighed twice as much as the 210s. Those suckers held the line on the hardest ice, I used them for the better part of two seasons teaching at Sugarloaf, 60-80mph down Narrow Gauge, never a bobble, mainly skis for sure!
