Adult lug in a junior binding, big issue?

Hi All, My 9 year old happens to have a large-ish foot and is in a 23.5 Lange RS70 boot, which has an adult lug. However, the same ski shop put her into a ski with a junior binding, Marker Race 8. Is this a big problem? Should I be making an immediate change? What impact does this have on binding performance?
