In the light of Vail and Alterra canceling lift construction for this year. Zermatt is doing the opposite and is planning $62 million in lift improvements siting "favorable conditions"
If you have the cash there are going to be some great opportunities out there due to the downturn.
I am sure the lift companies are looking for any work they can right now.

Traveling in the great Northwest
Zermatt is wonderful. The city is special. The skiing doesn't have the greatest terrain, broken up by canyons, but it's a great place to ski. Skiing to Italy for lunch...great. Being up on the glacier when the clouds part and the Matterhorn comes out...great.

There are two major s̶k̶i̶ ̶l̶i̶f̶t̶ ̶m̶a̶k̶e̶r̶s̶ ropeway transport companies, Doppelmayr and Poma. All the others have been absorbed into these two or have shut down.

I posted that in the Arapahoe Basin thread a few days ago. Stoked to see them thinking forward.
