So, how does this compare/contrast to the Blizzard Rustler 10? Same “family” factory...what’s the difference in tip/tail rocker and target audience?
Rustlers made in the UA factory and Enforcers made in the Technica factory but yes, same parent company.
Very similar rocker lines, profile and mount points(Rustlers about 1cm forward) on both of them. Biggest difference is the 2 full sheets of metal on the Enforcer vs 1 partial tapered sheet on the Rustler.
Weight is around the 2200 gram range on the 185cm Enforcer 110, so guessing the Enforcer 104 Free in 186cm will be in the 2100-2150 range. The current Rustler 10 is in the 1850 gram range for the 180cm and has a slightly lower turning radius so it’s high speed stability and crud performance suffers compared to the Enforcer line. It’s a common complaint about the Rustler 10 so they are beefing up the Rustler 10 core for next year(plus 100-150 grams) but should still be lighter than the 104 Free.
So the Rustler 10 should be lighter on its feet and the Enforcer Free 104 a touch more backbone still. Sizing is another difference as Rustler 10 are 172/180/188cm and the Enforcer 104 Free is 172/179/186/191cm. Being someone who likes mid 180’s skis, I like the Enforcer sizing better.
Like the video mentions and shows the Enforcer 93 and 100 are more traditional shapes on tail rocker vs the Enforcer Free 104/110 which have more tail splay and are really twin tip skis. Rustlers and the Enforcer Free series both have an “all mountain freestyle” playful vibe and common to move the mounts forward on both for people used to twin tip skis. Both can carve a turn yet jump off side hits of the trail.
If your skis are always on the ground, Enforcer 100 or Blizzard Bonifide would be more appropriate.
