Individual Review 2019 Atomic Backland 107 & Shift MNC 13

5'9" 165 lbs - debating between the 175 and 182 for a touring ski.
I typically ski ~180cm (or equivlent) inbounds as my daily driver. Advanced, but far from expert skier. Utah local.

Do these ski short? On paper 182 seems big - but 175 sounds unstable. Increased maneuverability & more turns in the backcountry sounds nice, but I'm not looking to give up a ton of stability & float.

Any thoughts?

For what you’re telling us, go for the 182, no second-guessing. It’s a properly quick ski to maneuver (not the same as squirrelly, which it isn’t), I would not suggest sizing down.
