YouTube Red?

Has anyone signed up for this? Anything worthwhile ? Is it just a Google Play material repackaging or a completely separate entity?

I signed up for the trial period. So far I've only used it so I can download ski videos to watch on the plane when I travel. None of the "YouTube Red Originals" interest me from what I have found. Other than having the option to watch downloaded content while offline(which I really like) I've not found anything special about it. Doubt I will pay for it when my trial period runs out.
