Last year at the start of the season there was the obligatory LIVE BREAKING NEWS coverage of snow coming down at Snoqualmie Pass. While the reporter was chatting away with cars and trucks puttering along behind her, an 18 wheeler drives by. Chains were on the wrong wheels, and the drive wheels were spinning away happily.

• Yer doin' it wrong if you get on a lift when you are so far out of shape that you can hardly walk. You definitely won't be able to ski or board. I see that one a lot! And sure enough, these people face plant right off the lift. Hopefully, skiing will help those people try and get in shape (it helped me get in better shape, to be sure)
• Yer doin' it wrong if you are on a run well beyond your current skills. Sure, you might survive it, but you'll acquire the most horrible habits, and you won't be skiing anyways.
• Yer doin' it wrong if you are boozing like there is no tomorrow ... at lunch break, before heading back to the mountain. You'll probably need your senses up there!
• Yer doin' it wrong if you are wearing one of these (unless, of course, it's a special occasion) :

I've also seen the "significant other" version of this, and, for whatever reason, it was a guy pushing the gal to do things like wedge down steeps and bumps ...
