I enjoyed skiing at Canaan Valley Resort with JohnL on Saturday. Enjoyed drinking and joshing with Jimmy and Charlie there too. Drove through 4-6” new snow up to Laurel Mountain area on Saturday evening. Very slick driving on 219 in Deep Creek Lake area. Fun day with Laurel Hill Crazie and friends on fresh snow at Laurel Mtn on Sunday, but limited terrain. Persevered through rain Monday morning at Seven Springs for some fun, dryer PM skiing on soft snow. Virtually no lift lines at all places due to timing and weather.
Canaan Valley, WV
Rainy Friday, the kind of weather that tries skiers souls. Decided not to ski this day. Instead, drowned sorrows in beer:)

Saturday AM, frozen granular better than the threat of no snow at all

It got more fun when a quick 2" fell in the early afternoon.

Laurel Mtn, PA
They have many glades, although only a few were in play due to the bad Ullr.

Laurel Hill Crazie on Lower Wildcat, one of the most challenging black diamonds in the mid-Atlantic. It was velvet in the AM, then bumped up a bit in the PM.

Photo does not do justice to the beautifully understated elegance of the LM lodge, set on the summit of the mtn.

Inside upstairs, magnificent view all along right side of room in this photo. One of the all time great ski spaces for brown bagging!! There is a lively bar/restaurant downstairs.

Sorry I wasn't able to make it!! Looks like a great time. Have they been leaving the skier's right on Wildcat to really bump up?

Great to see Kathy out there! I hope we can get something like this set up next season with a little more advanced planning. Good photos, looks like a good time was had by all.
