Much better weather than in France. Sunny. Turny course with a few jumps that might be tricky.

I was looking for a way to watch this and can't find it on the usual outlets where I watch.

Sorry I can’t help you Tricia. But keep looking, it was a very nice race with a quite challenging course setting, St Moritz isn’t normally a venue that comes to mind when talking about challenge. Great to see how a good setter can ”up” a competition. Hat off to Thomas.

Snow Pass is worth it. None of us like to spend money, but it delivers.....

I can't remember how to work our spoiler function, and I'm on an iPhone, having a cup of coffee. This was a FUN race, well run and executed. I like it when the best rise to the occasion and podium. Great one to watch, however you can, even if it's later on, on YouTube, etc.

Assuming the LV comes back healthy, Goggia as well, long with Stuhec getting back into post injury and rehab race form, and this might be a very fun SG field, and a great season! The best in some years. One big surprise in the top 10 that should please a lot of people on here, as well.

Watched it a little while ago on the Olympic Channel... fun race to watch and some of my favorites had a good day!

I guess
Shiffrin will move up to an odd-numbered bib
when the next points list comes out (which I think is this coming week).

I'm also liking the Snow Pass on the NBC Gold app. Watched this race live(!) ... at 2:15 am.

The course - more like an overscale GS than a a downhill with extra turns - presumably favored
Shiffrin's matchless technical skills. You'd think the terrain/air elements would favor the speed specialists, but Shiffrin handled that first built jump like it was no big deal, though it took out (or at least put the brakes on) some highly capable speed racers.

Since we have people on here to like to wait until about 7PM EST to get into this, I'm holding off. Have had a cup of coffee, a cold beer, watched it all, and exchanged a couple of texts. Interesting day.

not yet. She's 12th on the SG WCSL after St Moritz.

One of our super nice Canadians had a great showing. Team is doing well in SG, with Grenier having a good placing in LL and today for another one of the team!

No offense to anyone, but all this spoiler thing is a bit ridiculous for me. Sure I'm gonna stay away about posting anything related to race results in future too (normally I don't really have time to comment "in real time" anyway), but if someone really doesn't want to hear news with results until they watch race, I'm sure there's easier way to avoid hearing this, then telling everyone not to post about the race... Just stay away from this forum and don't read threads related to particular race. I would think that's easier solution then police some spoiler things to everyone else. Just my though, but as I wrote, I'm not gonna write about that early enough anyway. :)

I agree & I am one of the west coast guys. I feel a little guilty about the whole spoiler thing because I think I posted about it a few years ago. I think someone had posted a new thread title that read something like “Lindsey Vonn wins LL for the tenth time!” or something similar at 4am.
Again, I have learned to stay off of social media if I do not want to know results.
Not my decision To make but I think as long as it is not blatantly in the title everyone should be allowed to post whenever they want.

As @4ster noted, you can give him credit for the emphasis on spoiler alerts.
Meanwhile, we've had members cover events in the past few years who have posted in real time, so there is that. As always, I like hearing what you have to say.

. I feel a little guilty about the whole spoiler thing because I think I posted about it a few years ago.

We are so worried about spoilers that there is NO information here.

When I'm sneaking a view for some updates or insight, it's fun to do a quick check here. If there's a spoiler with good info.

Since we have people on here to like to wait until about 7PM EST to get into this, I'm holding off. Have had a cup of coffee, a cold beer, watched it all, and exchanged a couple of texts. Interesting day.
Please don't do that! I enjoy your posts. Hide them behind the spoiler banner if you feel compelled but please inform us.

@Tricia Perhaps some structural automatic spoiler feature will keep people from seeing things if they are worried about it while letting the rest of us get the scoop. It can't be good for your business to have information withheld while we go to competing sites to find it.

Eric

I have no clue what happened in the race...

Shiffrin skied every section of the course to near perfection making the other more seasoned veterans look lost & shaking their heads in bewilderment. ;)
