Shops are closing out their rosés for the summer. Or should be. Talk to your local maven if you don't see markdowns. Stick to 2016s unless you know for sure that the wine is still vibrant. My top pick? 2016 Domaine l'Olivette, Bandol.

Tonight I'm having this lovely German spätburgunder (a.k.a. Pinot Noir).

Yeah, I have to say that a low point on recent trips to Canada has been the wine situation. Blech.

Love the fact I live about 20 min for the newest wine area in Ontario. Prince Edward County.

SAQ in Quebec is so much better. But I admit, I can now buy beer and wine at Walmart!
