Pacific NW/AK/BC What's Going on in Western Washington

Thought I would create a thread to hear everyones thoughts, theories and expectations for this years skis seasons in Western Washington

So far the ski season is off to a very slow start

• Crystal has a total of four runs open with an 18" mostly man made base
• Steven's and the Snoqualmie area are both showing a base of 3-4"
• Worst of all three resorts are likely to get some rain later this week

Fingers crossed waiting for that monster dump that opens everything up … but also hedging by booking a few more ski trips just in case it is a really late start.

I keep doing the snow dance. It hasn't been looking very good for the near future. If Mission Ridge gets chair 2 running I'll head over there for a few days. If Mt. Baker opens that will be option #2. If it gets really desperate I'll consider visiting my cousins in the Denver area or possibly Montana.

Road trips to Revelstoke are a possibility.
Or flights to Banff.
