Hmm... There's a theme there. But wait! There's more.....

Big Bang Theory
Chuck
Grey's Anatomy
Gilmore Girls (yes, I confess)
I missed the first season or two of Modern Family, I solemnly promise to watch them all.

Probably most of Hill Street Blues, LA Law, St Elsewhere. I was on track with ER but got distracted by life.

This thread needs to be resurrected.....no excuse that in 2020, now 2021, this topic was buried deep in Chez Ziggy. Over the last 10 months I've grown to hate the tv. The amount of time spent watching, not including kids shows, is eye opening and embarrassing.

1. HIMYM
2. The Office
3. The Queen
4. Parks and Rec.
5. Arrested Development
6. Breaking Bad
7. Better Call Saul
8. Sons of Anarchy
9. Curious George (w/ kids)
10. The Great British Baking Show (w/kids)
11. Flipper (w/kids)
12. Cobra kai
13. Sex in the city (w/wife...please don't judge)
14. Sopranos
15. Silicon Valley
16. Seinfeld
17. 90210 (w/wife......I admit it)

We've been watching Amazon Prime and Netflix (DVD and streaming) for years, so since we mostly watch TV shows and not movies, we've seen every episode of whatever. However, we're still working our way through Midsomer Murders, which has 22 seasons. I think we're on season 14. Silent Witness we've seen 21 of 25 seasons. We would have seen all of it, but the newer episodes still cost money above the subscription fees we're already paying. It would be way too long to list all the series from the DVD's alone. I'd need a way to extract the 1000+ DVD history from Netflix into a spreadsheet and create a pivot table. There's few series we've abandoned if we got through a season.

Now, back when we watched network TV, there were many shows we abandoned.

We're huge fans of British and Australian TV. Fortunately we're no longer doomed to waiting for them to appear on Masterpiece Theatre.

From what's already listed above in others' posts, I've got:

The West Wing
SportsNight
Twin Peaks
Northern Exposure
Orange is the New Black
Newsroom
Game of Thrones
House of Cards (both the UK version and the US one)
Hill Street Blues
Madam Secretary
The Killing
White Collar
Suits until the last season, couldn't hack it after the cast change, tried to but couldn't
Covert Affairs
The Unit
Army Wives
Rumpole of the Bailey
Vikings
Downton Abbey
The Crown
Halt and Catch Fire
Longmire
Hell on Wheels
House
Justified
The Wire

But that's just a drop in the bucket.

The Simpsons - Latest episode is #11 of season 32. I am Homer Simpson. Worked in the control room of a nuclear plant were we ate a ton of donuts. Love beer and pork just as much as Homer. Best TV series of all time hands down.

I did really well minimizing TV for the first half of 2020, I was either skiing or outdoors a lot until July/Aug timeframe. This fall not so well. Got access to many more TV channels in Sep and with fall/early winter weather my TV time (including sports viewing) is way up and outdoor activity is down. I've delayed going skiing until the new year due to local crowds and low trail counts.

For many years I did not have much more than broadcast TV so I have never watched a full episode of the following popular shows: Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, The Office, House of Cards, Orange is the New Black.

There are probably only two old TV series that I have seen every show: Star Trek TOS and Twilight Zone. I might have come close to seeing all of Twin Peaks. I have done a little better with old mini-series and seen all of The Prisoner, Roots and Rich Man Poor Man, Captains and the Kings, Shogun. I can remember watching an episode of Rich Man Poor Man when it was first run in March 1976 when I was on a ski trip to Colorado. I watched the new Queens Gambit mini-series recently and liked it.

You appear to be an Aaron Sorkin fan. Have you watched Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip?

Not his best series but it does have it's moments.

DW watches Criminal Minds nonstop when there's downtime here. My memory is better than hers so I can spoil it with what's happening next if I wanted to. It's a pretty good show, deep, but shockingly dark and horrific crimes they solve..

Most of these are years ago when I watched, so I'm having to work to remember some of the time I've wasted away.

Star Trek TOS
Star Trek Next Gen
Star Trek DS9
Star Trek Voyager
Star Trek Enterprise
Star Trek Discovery
Star Trek Picard
The Orville
Stargate Sg-1
Stargate Atlantis
Stargate Universe
BattleStar Galactica (2004-2009)
Farscape
Firefly (not that hard, all one season of it, plus Serenity)
Babylon 5
The Expanse (crap there' s a new season I haven't seen yet. Better drop the Umbrella Academy before I go much further)
The Magicians (once season 5 is available Jan 15, again I'll ditch Umbrella Academy for a similar kind of weirdness)
Chuck
Scrubs
Sherlock
Grey Anatomy :duck: (once I watch the most recent season)
Heroes
Heroes Reborn (though I did regret it)
Sense 8
Daredevil
MASH
Schitt's Creek
Gilmore Girls
The Good Place
The Mandalorian

Too many. A couple recent, noteworthy ones:

Afterlife. A beautiful, quiet, adult, sorta-kida comedy.

Catastrophe. Occasionally a bit coarse, but hilarious.

The Queen's Gambit. Who knew chess could make for good tv? Seven or eight episodes, and nobody gets shot!

We watched the first few episodes of that and liked it. Dropped off the radar though. Need to revisit that and watch the rest of it..
