Stopped by REI today, tried a few thing on. I'm gonna say fit wise go with OR, try Marmot as a second choice. Good luck.

Happened to find a solution more or less in the backyard. Local Patagonia outlet was having a big sale and I walked into it by chance. Uncharacteristically they had a lot of smaller sizes and I ended up getting an XS Powslayer at about 1/3 of msrp or 1/2 of normal online sale price. Interestingly this is not a slim cut. I hypothesize that going to a regular cut allowed me to go down to an XS, which in turn meant the sleeves were less simian. (Counter example: I tried on a S Strafe Temerity shell. Arms too long. XS of same, too tight in torso.) So, premise of thread title down the tubes, but all's well that ends well.
