Short version without running to other threads.So for those of you using fiberlene...how the heck does that remove wax? Seems like way too soft a material.
You use it between the iron and the wax. So you're warming the wax to liquid, which is absorbed into the Fiberlene. Unlike using a paper towel, which has fibers to be pulled out, the Fiberlene doesn't shed, yet absorbs. Leaving less wax on the ski to be scraped later after it cools.
