I saw that when I was shopping and decided against it. To me, reconfigurable means mis-configurable.

A side wall cutter is nice and quick for bulk removal. A panzer file with a 6/7 degrees makes for a good final touch and the occasional cut back on the road.

The SVST unit @Near Nyquist mentioned is nice. I also like the Artech harden aluminum file guide. I have both.
The Artech guide seems to collect less junk on the guide plate. That said, the S/S plate cleans off quick with a single edge razor and Scotchbrite. So thatis not really an issue with me.

Edit: The panzer is great in trimming the titanal plate that usually sit on top of the base edge and cutting back the tips and tails on a ski with two sheets of metal.

I'm a little old school or new school. I use a sharp chisel and a steady hand to remove side wall when needed.
