-breakfast/lunch/dinner?
-where to get some beers/burger?
-any must do’s?
Loaded question....especially when it comes to food in Portsmouth
Breakfast -
The Goods for small cafe style,
Cere's street for a bakery
Colby's for sit-down breakfast
Lunch -
BG's for classic New England seafood
Ore Nell's for BBQ
Lexie's for burgers
The Kitchen for sandwiches
Napoli's if you like authentic Italian sandwiches
Dinner -
Moxie (If you're a foodie and like tapas...amazing food)
Surf for amazing seafood and sushi
Vida Cantina for tacos (a little ways outside of town)
Any of the lunch spots above (Napoli's might close early though)
As noted above, Markey's is good...I think I like Chauncey's Creek in Kittery better for lobster (BYOB) (check hours before going though, I'm not sure when they reduce their hours in the fall)
Beers/Burgers -
There's a plethora of good micro brewery's around
Stone Face in Newington (also excellent food)
Throwback in North Hampton (excellent food)
Earth Eagle if you're into trying unique beers (their food menu is good but sparse)
Lexie's is good for quicker burgers and delicious fries
Burger Bar, despite it being attached to a hotel is actually really good too.
Best/largest beer selection in town is The Thirsty Moose
Must Do's - Depends on what you're into....
Eat and drink your way through Portsmouth is my personal favorite
There's tons of historical tours in town if you're interested in that type of thing
Isle's of Shoal's Steamship company if you want a tour and boat ride
Walking around town, Strawberry Bank and Prescott Park is a decent way to spend an afternoon
Rent kayaks/paddleboards if the weather's nice
There's a few good golf courses around (Pease, Breakfast Hill, Sagamore)
