No screw driver needed. Use levers.

There is a place in Queens that costs way less for a wax & adjustment.

BTW, the most important tool in any adjustment/repair work is a hammer.

Is this something I shouldn't even be attempting to do by myself??? (I thought that easy adjustments was the point of demo bindings).
No special tools needed but while adjusting is fairly simple, you will still need to get them tested to make sure they are functioning at the right about if tension.

Three things needed to be done..Adjust the heel, adjust the toe and adjust the AFD (which is now shown in that video and I can tell you that was not addressed and neither was it ever on the bindings that are on your skis). THEN the bindings should be function tested.

We pushed the departure date to Jan 4. So we'll be in town until next Wed.
Just hop on the train and come on by. Bring your skis and boots. Don't worry about the refreshments.

We are trying to finish up whatever beer we have before we leave.

The Attack13 demos require 0.5mm clearance between the boot sole and the stainless steel anti-friction plate. I use a metric feeler gauge.

A credit card is about 0.55 mm thick; that will work and is handy.

Wow, a credit card. Why didn't I think of that.
Doesn't the credit limit of the credit card affect the thickness of the card? Or is it only your credit score that matters.
Do we use the portion with the embossed numbers or the portion without?
So many questions.

IIRC, @Pumba used one of these on that sliding thingie on her binding.

No, not the writing pad, the shiny thingie.

Didn't take a tape measure to it but pretty sure it wasn't 0.50 inches.
Hey @Pumba , do you recall whether we use that thing with the hole horizontal or vertical?

Will throw in my two cents on this old thread because I wasted a bunch of brain cells on this.

Google says credit card is actually more like .76 mm thick; so you should go a smidge tighter than a credit card and so it should not pull out.
A standard business card on the other hand is typically 14 pt (around .355 mm). So a business card should come out completely loose (and 2 business cards are as about equal to 1 credit card).

Use these as two bookends for the magic .50mm and you'll be fine.
