Top 5 teeth-gritters:
  • "If you have any questions, see myself"
  • "Me and Jamie are going out" (and the somehow inevitable "Allie talked to Mike and I")
  • "There are less people getting infected now"
  • "I love it's color""
  • "I could care less what other people think"

Could of...

...American version: I could care less ...

Oh no!!! Please don't call that the American version. Even here in America, it's very wrong... the American and English versions are the same.

/Warning: Thread drift/
The word "literally" used to mean "not literally but metaphorically" as in e.g. "Roger Federer literally wiped Djokovic off the court" or vice versa depending on when the match was ogsmile .
/Thread drift end/

Unfortunately, as you note, the battle has been lost - or is about to be - on this one I'm afraid.

Definition of literally (Merriam-Webster)
1: in a literal sense or manner: such as
2: in effect : VIRTUALLY —used in an exaggerated way to emphasize a statement or description that is not literally true or possible, ex. "...will literally turn the world upside down to combat cruelty or injustice"— Norman Cousins
