Does it make sense for a New England intermediate groomer skier to venture out west?

Or similar ask for advise; point out and justify why said asked for advice is incorrect, inappropriate, not as good as op could have gotten from resort marketing material. Go somewhere two years later and write a review about how much it sucked and how expensive it was.
