It’s the same amount of days from my last ski day till my till my. next ski day.
It’s all downhill from here...

Hmmm. Let's see... I last skied on May 5 = day 125 of the year.
Today is day 220.
So let's see, day 315 is November 11.
Nope, I'm not halfway there yet.

Skiquinox and Squeeeequinox are synonyms to me.

A ways to go yet for me...
I guess I shouldn't have skied so late in the season? :puzzled:

As a numbers guy, looking at my off season of 250 days that’s 68% of the year. With a ski season of 115 days and 32% of the year.

I don’t like those numbers. I feel like I need to improve the ratios.

Maybe a late spring trip to A-basin is what I need. Or maybe a Summer trip to Chile?

Ohh the possibilities....

115 days out of Atlanta? Either you mean it was 115 days from your first day to your last, or you have a travel budget much to be admired!

You misunderstood me. I meant 115 days of the length of the ski season. The span from my first day to my last day.

Oh, we all know what you meant. Just messing with you. It's the middle of August after all.

Back to real world. A few of us here do get 115+ days on ski in a season. So the joke is not far fetched.

Come to think of it, if you are talking about the length of the season. Why limit your self to 115 days.

My ski season is about 180 days on any given year. Dec 1 to May 31. Usually get a few days in Dec but with all the holidays and family. It gets a bit hectic. I don't get serious about skiing until after the new year. On a bad snow year, I may stop skiing in April. This season, my last day on skis was 6/2. It was a very good snow year. And yeah, 115+ days on skis.

So live it up and allow yourself to enjoy next year with a 180 days season. It doesn't cost you anymore than a 115 days season. Maybe just a bit of imagination. :beercheer:

My season the last couple of years has been approximately December 10th - April 10th... that means my equinox was yesterday. Begin the countdown! :)

Today is my "skiquinox" day. 1/2 way from the last day of the ski season to the 1st day of the next season.

Nov 29 (1st day of season) = Day #333
April 28 (last day of season) = Day #118
Aug 13 Today = Day # 225 -- 1/2 way to the start of next season.

I've got Taos and Jackson booked (airfare at least)... now I'm looking at trying to find a long weekend or other time for Steamboat and Mammoth (or Mammoth/Squaw maybe). So... maybe!

Any chance you'll be in Stratton (or elsewhere in New England) in the early season?
