We got a version of this product and have been loving it.
Cool. I love simple solutions like this. For people with brains like mine I can see slaming the door closed while it's still in place. But otherwise, really nice solution.

I replaced the gas springs on my pod recently as they would fail to hold the lid up. I couldn't find the exact same strength (force), so I put in springs 2X stronger than the original equipment. What a joy! I now can press the two latches and the lid snaps right up to full-open position even with a load of snow on it .... and stays open until I close it. What an improvement. I hated having to hold the lid open with one hand while loading skis with the other hand. Or having the lid blow down on top of my arm. Stronger springs ..... you might consider that.


Oh yeah: Get a spare set of keys for the locks and put them in the glove box or trunk.
