The 2019 version of the Master Plan documents for future upgrades to Timberline Lodge and Summit Ski areas (both now owned by RLK) have some very cool plans for upgrades including:

https://www.timberlinelodge.com/master-plan
  1. A new gondola lift from Government Camp rest area (Summit Ski area) to the top of Pucci lift (at the old Timberline Lodge)
  2. Replacement of the 2-person fixed-grip chair at Summit with a fixed-grip quad.
  3. Replacement of the 3-person fixed-grip Pucci chair at Timberline with a detachable quad.
  4. Adding several magic carpet beginner lifts (one at the base of Summit, 3 at the Timberline to replace Bruno chair)
  5. Remove Bruno beginner chairlift.
  6. Build a new lodge at the bottom of Molly lift, "Molly Portal" with parking and snow-play area. (Saves some of drive to Timberline Lodge)
  7. Build a bigger lodge at the base of Summit
This would make the vertical rise of Timberline go from 4030' (base at Summit) to the top of Palmer lift at 8448' for a total vertical drop of 4418'
