I did nice road to gravel ride this AM following some good rain last night that made for good road conditions (no dust bowl) and much clearer Skies although there’s still smoke in the air as you can see. This part o the ride is a challenging but fun 3.75 mile gravel climb with 875’ of gain. I do love to climb. It’s totally doable though. Most of it is 7-8% and the roads in good shape.
Here’s where the road goes from chip n seal to gravel, the second picture is looking down at the location of the first pic. Gives some context. The 3rd pic is also at the top but looking to the west instead of east. Its interesting to note the different in the vegetation and landscape from one side of the mountain to the other. You can still see the smoke but it’s still a great view.
