No definitely the right way to go - don't count on going too big and follow your doc up to the point in time you're confident . I just found I found myself skiing way harder than I initially anticipated and a much faster progression.

That is my default - Push myself early and hard - so I'm trying to be ultra aware and plan for very limited skiing. I am also known for my "athletic" skiing rather than finesse, meaning I've always had the leg strength to handle any difficulties (except that last one). Doc wants me to not have to make sudden twisting motions. So yes, next season will be a great time to take it down a notch and work on finesse skiing. I'm still signed up for a ton of lessons, but I plan to start in January at level 6 instead of level 9. I personally cannot imagine skiing trees without being able to resort to some not exactly textbook moves here and there.

Ah well. Michelle Parker is four months ahead of me, so I've been keeping up with her progress for inspiration. Which hey, brings us back on topic - she's sponsored by Black Crows.

DPS, Icelantic, RMU, Praxis and ON3P have been in the crosshairs....plus whatever I see at any Demo Day.

I sorta feel Black Crows are on the verge of becoming major players at least in European freeride - I'm starting to see them around as much as Faction and Movement. I think they've had some funding.

I've got some 2012 CoreUPT Lunatics in a 185 mounted up to try out this season. It's an 84mm full camber park and pipe ski with a touch of all mountain. I mounted them -1 of dead center, recommended dead center. I was only able to find one review for them online in English. Company is defunct. Cantunamunch had a different model and gave me a heads up that they would need a full tune.. They arrived base high. I'll report back after I get a couple laps on them, plan on skiing them first this season.

I skied these today and they are every bit as solid as the K2 PEs were new, and a little lighter weight. Pretty happy with the results. I skied these all morning then put them up when the base cover started getting thinner. Skied Salomon 1080s the rest of the day. The Lunatic is a better ski IMHO. These are my new daily driver. Retiring the PEs to rock ski duty.

I have a pair of Zags in my coat closet at home. I haven't skied them, though. (Noodler, are you out there??)
Looking back at this thread, I don't recall ( and didn't read through the whole thread for a reminder) Did you ski the Zags?

Demoted and bought a pair of Meier skis today. Wild Bill was the model and they are great. 98 underfoot, 170cm, great on any ice we came across and loved slush. Michael bought the Big Hoss, 104 underfoot, 180cm and he was amazed how they skied like a carver, handled ice AND slush well. We supported a Colorado indie brand and bought them on earth day so double awesome.
