A sweet light crude like West Texas Intermediate works pretty well too.

Just whole lot of arm waving and random conjecture. Any planning that results is pure coincidence.
There are 2 good tag lines for the site in there... if i was home I'd photoshop them into the logo...

Since it doesn't seem like a worry to derail this thread, has anyone had any luck doing a ski week starting on a Monday? I almost always work Sundays, so I can't travel to make it there in time.

Starting Monday is no issue. Lots of skiers do that. You still pay the same.
For those of us that started on Sunday, we just call them "Fresh Meat."

I know it looks bleak at this time of the year. But just hang in there. Things will get better.

Would be nice to do a few Kachina laps with everyone during the gathering.
Here is to a good snow year at Taos.

For those of you that haven't skied Kachina Peak yet. Here are couple shot of the peak.

Looks like a blue bird powder day. Skied a few times before the lift was put in. It was earn your turns.

The way it usually is now. Earn your beer.

Enjoy.

Next it will be fish sauce again.

@Noodler, predict you will be bored and grumpy in a class. (Unless it's with that dude on the Stormrider 88s in our class, @mdf , who could have been plucked from a Geib group in Co.) You'll find it a bit slow. And you may not agree with the tips.

However, if you DON'T do the classes, you'll just be lonely all morning. Pick your poison.

Earn your fish sauce. Somehow, it just doesn't have that ring.
Anyhoo, the Bavarian doesn't serve fish sauce. They only have beer.

that dude on the Stormrider 88s in our class,

I believe you are talking about JR. Believe me, he won't be the best one doing ski week during the up coming gathering week.

Enjoy.

I've been trying to pick out the named routes off the top (called "Main Street" and then, more imaginatively, "K1", "K2', "K3", "K4", and ....wait for it... "K5").
Main Street is obvious, and I think I can figure out which are 1,2,and maybe 3. But 4 and 5 are a bit vague. I was trying to remember which one @Freaq and I skied repeatedly 3 years ago. Might have been K4.

One of the first times, using my route-finding steeze, I led us into something that kept getting narrower and narrower.
"Uh, Freaq, it's getting a bit sketchy down here"
"LIke, turn around and hike out sketchy?"
"No, not yet."

We made it through, and from the bottom saw wide open routes on either side of where we went.
